Schumacher Milling Company which was later merged into the American Cereal Company, per Google Books “Centennial History of Summit County, Ohio and Representative Citizens ,1908”. * 1907: Great Western Cereal Company (Chicago) registers “Mother’s” (with an apostrophe) trademark on August 21, 1907. Where have they all gone? In addition it was next to a box of Crown silverware Service for 8 in the Pattern Radiance. In 1879, John Stuart and his brother Robert, joined with George Douglas to form Imperial Mill and set up shop in Chicago, Illinois. I had considered the possibility that these were two separate trademarks used by two separate companies in order to explain the apostrophe or lack there of.
