southerners' views of northerners

I've been reading how people are saying Southerners are stupid, and have such low-grade intelligence. It is frustrating living in a world where people let assumptions and stereotypes control their actions. They have big hair and wear dresses and generally spend a lot of time their looks.

This led me to think that I knew what every group was like and I thought I could point them out in a second. I don't get it. What the hell?

Even though the Civil War ended 146 years ago, it feels like both sides never got entirely rid of the animosity they felt toward the other. I was born in South Carolina and I have lived in the rural town of Gilbert all my life. Northerners felt that in order to win the war they had to do more than compel Confederates’ submission.

A parmo would probably kill a southerner, tatty ash couldn’t have come up with a more unappetising name for itself if it tried and we still have no idea what pease pudding is.

What are these called? We all wave and say hi to anyone passing by. this is exactly what northerners are. Up here if you say someone is from the north your mind goes straight to redneck living in the woods lol. But also met a lot of phoney "southern hospitality"....honesty if much better than fake friendliness. Southerners are the easiest people in the world to get along with, but there are some things that just stick in our craw.

They only get mad once they get into cars, if the light has turned green and your car isn't already in the middle of the intersection you're going to get honked at. Up north, you get ‘pet’, ‘duck’, ‘hen’, ‘poppet’, ‘chuck’… it’s too much. Seven hours from newyork city. Uh yeah...funny? He is a friendly but cold father, scientist, calm and introvert in many ways, Northern people are same as Southern, anyone who thinks they are better is ignorant.

In the north I was taught to respect everyone for being different, so I keep that in mind.

A big part of this rude New Yorker image is the way they walk.

I have visited NYC and NJ on several occasions and find there is more of a community spirit in those areas than there are in NC where I'm from. I never realized the extremes between the American Southerns and Northerners until I started here at USC. they believe all are trustworthy. With that said I believe it doesn't matter wherever you are born or live there are kind, friendly, and generous people everywhere! Up … They are fast-moving, self-centered, and say the word "Coffee" weird. Where I'm from and every other southerner I know, are all alike. So there is that, and I guess it is just a cultural thing.

If you ever go up north with an open mind I bet it will be a very surprising experience.
