Construction attracts really dedicated, incredibly smart people.

Continuous development and expansion of the built environment is key to any country’s economy. Hence the museums have decided to highlight this issue with their work this year.

I found that really interesting, and of course it was all really good exposure for me in terms of my own development. About 13 years ago, I switched roles and became an estimator, which basically means that I work with a team to put together a detailed proposal for what the scheme we’re working on will cost. Moving from the functional role to the Executive Committee was a challenge, that step up.
